LITTERMATE SYNDROME
Why we don't recommend raising two puppies from the same litter together
Many people might think it's a good idea to buy two puppies from the same litter, thinking they'll just keep each other company the two siblings; Unfortunately what often develops is "littermate syndrome". These puppies who have grown up with each other since day one, will develop a strong bond between them -This makes it harder for the puppies to bond with you and your family. It also affects your ability to train the pups. A number of behavioral problems can arise due to littermate syndrome. The most prominent problem that develops is; once the puppies are inevitably separated for some period of time (daycare, grooming, vet etc.) they will likely suffer from separation anxiety, causing immense stress.
For many reasons we strongly discourage buyers from buying two or more puppies from the same litter, unless fully prepared and understand the amount of work involved in raising littermates together.
